Mia, who was a lesbian in her personal life (she even reportedly had a wife), expressed frustration before her death about the treatment of LGBTQ+ people in her native Russia, where she said she could not "return" without condemnation. She committed suicide in Budapest, Hungary.

She was active from 2015 to 2022 and filmed over 180 scenes. She was found in her home in Michigan, and on the day of her death, she wrote this Tweet, "Nathan called the cops on me. So if I die, it's his fault."
